Troubles Rêveries’ translates to ‘Ambiguous Daydreams’.

Troubles Rêveries is an ongoing project inspired by a collection of dreams I recorded over a year. They explore the limit between curiosity and anxiety; wanting to uncover the reason behind a dream but also being cautious as different elements are revealed.

I use both figuration and abstraction to mimic the uncanny nature of dreamscapes, with an emphasis on their liminal quality.

Symmetrical, mirrored drawings and paintings are a nod to the use of the Rorschach test in psychological interpretation. These picturesque scenes invite the viewer to be immersed into their own perceptions of dreamscapes.
